Getting it Right First Time – reducing transcription errors

The Pathology GIRFT (Getting it Right First Time) Programme National Specialty Report (September 2021) has flagged the importance of reducing transcription errors at multiple points, as well as an overhaul on the approach to action limits in pathology reporting.  The authors also state their belief that more use can be made of data from EQA schemes.

The report makes recommendations across the foundations of

Quality; Data and digital delivery; and Service delivery
