Manual Transcription Errors usually incur the following error rates:
3% in error at each level of transcription.

Elimination of Manual Calculations
Manual calculations can be completely eliminated. Calculations are usually required because neither LIMS nor the Instrument software has all of the information required for the calculation. Links for LIMS can perform all of these requirements.

Typically projects have a < 12 month payback period if there are >100 results/day acquired and posted to LIMS from an instrument. Instrument linking is generally one of the best financial investments for a laboratory.
